Schneider Downs is once again proud to support the Association of Certified 欺诈 Examiners (ACFE) as it celebrates 国际反欺诈意识周.
We have a long and established role in the fraud investigation and awareness field, through the numerous investigations we’ve performed over the years and our sponsorship of the annual 欺诈 and Corruption Awareness Seminar.
Our 咨询 group includes several Certified 欺诈 Examiners (CFE), and I serve as the president of the Greater 匹兹堡 chapter of the ACFE.
我们今年的主题是诈骗三角, the graphical representation of a theory developed by Donald Cressey in the 1950s. Cressey was a criminologist and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the study of white-collar crime, along with his teacher and co-author Edwin Sutherland. The 欺诈 Triangle includes three elements found in most instances of fraud:
Real or perceived financial pressure that the perpetrator is experiencing
Rationalization that their violation of trust is acceptable or justified
执行行动的机会
While the elements of the 欺诈 Triangle are found in essentially every instance of fraud, some CFEs in our group have written 我们对 articles in recognition of 欺诈 Week that highlight one particular aspect. 有关文章,请参阅以下连结:
We may only focus on 欺诈 Week once per year in this way, 但是我们的专业人员, assist and prepare clients throughout the year with their unique fraud concerns.
查看我们的 施耐德唐斯咨询公司LinkedIn页面 throughout the week for additional information from the ACFE. If you have questions or concerns about fraud in your organization, contact Tom Pratt at (电子邮件保护) 或者是Brian Webster (电子邮件保护).
关于国际反欺诈意识周
国际反欺诈意识周, 或欺诈周, was established by the Association of Certified 欺诈 Examiners (ACFE) in 2000 as a dedicated time to raise awareness about fraud. The week-long campaign encourages business leaders and employees to proactively take steps to minimize the impact of fraud by promoting anti-fraud awareness and education.
